Melinda has been immersed in the field of performance psychology for over 20 years and has been able to experience a variety of roles within this domain as a professor, researcher, mentor, speaker, and consultant. She spends a significant amount of her consulting time with senior leaders at one of the Big Four consulting firms.  She has also supported athletes, coaches, and teams of all levels of competition from the youth setting to the Olympic and professional levels.

Educating and empowering high performers from an evidence-based perspective is of critical importance to Melinda’s coaching philosophy. Her doctoral education in Sport and Performance psychology and the 18 years spent as a professor have set her up with a very strong foundation to help elite performers by translating behavioral science, theory, and applied research concepts in a practical and innovative manner. She thrives on challenging high performers to remove self-limitations, helping them figure out when they are at their best, and facilitating the process of getting them there consistently.

In addition to her work, Melinda is fueled by her triathlon training, reading, enjoying food and connection with friends, and laughing with her son and daughter.  Born and raised in Southern California, she is based in La Crescenta, just outside Los Angeles.
